The 5 Most Instagrammable Places in Paris

Social media has taken over our lives and location location location is absolutely key to taking the most beautiful photos in Paris. While everyone flocks over to the Eiffel Tower, Sacred Coeur and The Louvre for those iconic moments, there are plenty of other places that are worth a visit. Here are my top 5 places in Paris to capture the moment!

Père Lachaise

No one would ever think of heading to a cemetery to snap some photos but this one in particular hosts some of the coolest looking tombstones and interesting melange of famous people buried. Chopin, Jim Morrison, Edith Piaf and Molière are just to name a few. I often find myself sitting on a bench and reading a book on a nice sunny day. It’s unbelievably soothing!

Jardin des Plantes

Take a walk through Jardin des Plantes

This beautiful park right off the Gare D’Austerlitz is one of the lesser known parks in Paris. Just like its name, you can expect to see a spectacular array of flowers during most of the year and capture some vivid pictures. If you’re a horticulture lover, this is the park for you!

Pont Alexandre III

There are many beautiful bridges in Paris but this is probably the most beautiful. Situated between the Eiffel Tower, Grand Palais and Les Invalides. You will have a beautiful shot any direction you turn. One of my favorite bars on the Seine is just steps away from this iconic spot, feel free to stop by Rosa Bonheur sur Seine for some live music and good times with a very Parisien crowd.

Jardin du Palais – Royal

One of my favorite places in Paris, the black and white stones look simple and ordinary but sets a stunning backdrop against the Gates and the magnificent Royal residence. Sunny or cloudy, you will take amazing pictures here. Get here early to avoid the crowds!

Giverny – Claude Monet

If you have 45 minutes to spare outside of Paris, I highly recommend taking the train to Giverny and visiting Claude Monet’s house. Situated in the quaint town of Giverny, you will cross through a beautiful garden filled with a large array of flowers before you reach Monet’s house. Don’t forget to visit the waterlily pond located after the underpass.

  1. You definitely found some wonderful spots and proved that photos don’t have to be famous icons in order to have great appeal. You also have a good eye for photography too by the way!

  2. I love Père Lachaise and Pont Alexandre for photos. Under the bridge makes for some amazing shots, too. I’ll add the Palais-Royale to my list to check out on my next trip that’s coming up. Thanks!

  3. Hey fellow NYer! You’re in one of my favorite cities. There are few cities that make me think about leaving the city and never coming back. Paris is definitely one of them. The other city of lights is so beautiful! You captured that in your pics. Enjoy!
